We spent the day in Mill Valley in the middle of a large redwood forest. It is situated north of San Francisco and each year they hold a very large arts festival. Lots of people attend with their families and dogs. Saw a few quirky outfits and there are food stalls set up. I enjoyed the photography exhibits but I didn’t see any street photography on display or much travel photography outside of a German photographer’s wonderful photos of wildlife from around the world. They were truly stunning.
Of course I could not photograph the exhibits so you’ll just have to believe me. If you’re interested, scroll down to see my captioned photos. If not, close this post and wait for another post on books. I have finished a few.

You take the nicest photos, Pam. I so enjoy them!

lovely photos… i’ve been there but not to a festival; just to visit my brother who used to live there… in a houseboat… the people i used to see were quite friendly; i’m surprised you were rebuffed… lovely trees…

Loved the pics, and yes I love people watching at Festivals, particularly the dancers.
The thing about big hats though is that they can really get in the way of your view which I find irritating. You need a hat if you are outside with no shade, but I like them to be as modest as possible. That said hats are fun to look at.

The seating was far enough apart the hat didn’t bother anyone but I don’t think the older woman would have cared if she bothered anyone or not. A very strange lady 😉

No it sounds not – but I’m glad to hear that the seating made it not a problem.

Yes, they are. I walked up to the woman and complimented her after the event and she pretty much tossed her nose into the air and I got quite the snub. Oh well, each to their own. It made me laugh.
