I dedicate these photos taken at sunrise on top of Mt. Wellington to my mother who died peacefully in her sleep this morning at the age of 91. She loved beauty, music and birds.

What beautiful photographs in remembrance of your mother. Losing parents is so hard. Mine have been dead for almost twenty years, but I still find myself occasionally reaching for the phone to share something with them. You have my sympathy.

So sorry for your loss. It’s never easy – we’ve lost my dad and my mother-in-law in the last few years and although they were old and it was a peaceful release, only time dulls the pain. x

Honey, I am so sorry for your loss. My own mother passed at 88 last month. It’s a hard loss, I know. HUGS

Thank you. It was very peaceful. I’m glad you like the photos. I had signed up for a Canon workshop sunrise on Mt. Wellington session for Monday. It was peaceful up there. And very beautiful. I have to admit, I was pleased with them and the timing was good for their use.
