Covid really knocked me around, mainly with fatigue on top of my MS fatigue. Headachey too but now I’m climbing out of that tunnel. My energy needs to go back into my gym work to get my fitness back and a better mood. On July 8th I am travelling to South Australia to do an intensive 5 day photography workshop/training in the Flinders Ranges. If you search for Flinders ranges on you tube you can see the beautiful scenery. The days will begin before sunrise for shoots and end around 8 pm at night with a few built in rest periods during the day. I’ll get to Adelaide a couple of days early and come home the day after the workshop ends on Friday late afternoon.
I’ll be back online with hopefully more things to write about after that.

I have no business commenting on this, but was just thinking of you when I suddenly came across your recent trip tweet and this update. Please consider resting MORE, then more again, to ensure a full recovery and minimizing anything beyond the basics. It’s just that I know too many people here in work-obsessed Washington DC who shouldered their way back to the office very soon, while still Covid-fatigued. They feared a job layoff and resultant loss of our employer-provided health benefits (a shadow that hangs heavy over we 55-64 pre-“Medicare” workers) and had Long Covid set-backs. Nevertheless, what a wonderful adventure! Hope I am not offending you with this. Love your blog and the outlook from Tasmania. Cheers!

I am not offended at all. Thank you for your comments. I am quite good at rest, lol, it is getting on with things I remind myself to do. I imagine life in DC is much different than our little city down here. All the best.🤠🌻🦋

Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Have you read The Sun Walks Down? It’s set in the Flinders Ranges and would be the perfect thing to read whilst there (imo). Have fun.

P.S. Random fact – I always loved how my dad pronounced penguin as “pen-Quinn” with a Q instead of a G. I always hear that when I see the word. 🙂

The Flinders Ranges are lovely. I’ve approached them from all angles but perhaps from the Strezlecki Track was my favourite (which I’ve only done a couple of times). The old limestone houses and streetscapes of the surrounding towns are lovely too. It’ll be cold though, maybe even Tasmanian cold in the mornings.
